little darling mittens.

I finally finished my little darling mittens. I had to accessorize them (they have to have a creative edge to them, or they're just going to come across as average ho-hum mittens). These were made with a boy in mind. I'm currently working on pink mittens with flowers...should be cute! :)

Recycling with style. Back to crochet.

I found myself bored out of my mind last night. The baby was in bed and my husband was working on a project. That left me with no one to play with...lol. I found myself sorting though hundreds (seriously!) of plastic grocery bags. What the heck, I thought to myself. How did we get so many bags?! I really need to take these in and recycle them. I then remembered seeing this on one of my favorite crafting sites! Love, love, love that site!!!

So, this is what happens when I'm bored:

I made it big enough to carry my credit card and cash as well as lipgloss. Perfect for festival season! :) Since it's crocheted there are plenty of loops to attach a keychain clip if I decide to clip it to my belt loop instead of carrying it on my wrist. So fun!

The finished product!

The knitted mittens are finished and I love how they turned out! I'm planning on jazzing them up a bit, but until then, here they are! :)

Taking a break from Crochet...

It seems strange to pick up 2 needles when you're so used to working with only one. I needed a change though and decided to pick up knitting again. I found this adorable pattern for baby mittens and decided to try my hand (or hands rather) to making a pair for my son. So far so good...

Knitting a pair of mittens in July is just wrong, but I have to start sometime...

My newest project for Simon's room.
